About The Position

We are seeking a Neonatology Physician to join our Level IV NICU team on a full-time basis in New Brunswick, NJ. This role involves providing primary clinical care for neonates in the Level IV NICU, attending high-risk deliveries, consulting with mothers and the Pediatric ED, and collaborating with a team of board-certified neonatologists. The position also includes teaching and oversight for residents, fellows, and mid-level providers, as well as participation in quality improvement initiatives and the Vermont Oxford Network. The unit is recognized with a silver-level Beacon Award for Excellence and has access to a dedicated NICU satellite pharmacy.

Requirements

Board certification or eligibility from the appropriate specialty or subspecialty board
A Medical degree and the successful completion of ACGME or AOA Residency and Fellowship
Must qualify for Saint Peter's University Hospital Liability insurance
MD or DO license in the State of New Jersey
CDS and DEA license required

Responsibilities

Provide primary clinical care for all neonates admitted to the Level IV NICU, with daytime coverage and overnight call
Attend high-risk deliveries and cesarean sections
Consult with high-risk mothers on the obstetric service and with the Pediatric ED
Work alongside board-certified neonatologists as part of a collaborative care team
Provide teaching and oversight for pediatric residents, neonatal fellows, and mid-level providers (NNP, PA, PNP)
Engage in quality improvement initiatives and Vermont Oxford Network participation
