RN - NICU Level IV
About The Position
This position is for a Registered Nurse (RN) working in a Level IV NICU at American Family Children’s Hospital in Madison, WI. The role involves providing care for critically ill newborns, infants, and their families across the continuum of care, from admission to discharge. The NICU is a 26-bed unit focused on patient-and family-centered care, serving infants with complex medical and surgical needs requiring advanced diagnostic and therapeutic services. This is a 90% FTE position with an evening/night shift rotation, including weekends and holidays. Hours may vary based on departmental needs. The position is eligible for shift and weekend differentials.
Requirements
- Licensed as a Registered Nurse (RN) in the State of WI or holds a license issued by a jurisdiction that has adopted the nurse licensure compact Upon Hire
- Current CPR/BLS Certification Upon Hire
- Six (6) months nursing experience or current participant in UW Health’s Nurse Residency Program with successful completion of the Nurse Residency Orientation on unit/similar unit.

- NRP within 6 months
