About The Position

Physician Affiliate Group of New York (PAGNY) is seeking a Neonatologist to join the group at NYC Health + Hospitals/Harlem. Harlem Hospital is a major hospital in Central Harlem and the only Safety Net Hospital in Northern Manhattan, known for its centers of excellence in Bariatric Surgery, Breast Imaging, and Sexual Assault Forensics. The hospital maintains a strong academic affiliation with Columbia University Vagelos College of Physicians and Surgeons. The mission of NYC Health + Hospitals is to provide comprehensive health services of the highest quality to all New Yorkers with compassion, dignity, and respect, regardless of their ability to pay or immigration status. This role involves attending high-risk deliveries, managing newborns, precepting and supervising residents, and participating in hospital committees. The position is based in the Level III Neonatal ICU.

Requirements

Board Certification in Pediatrics Required.
Board Certification or Eligibility in Neonatal-Perinatal Medicine Required.
Active New York State Medical License.
Current BLS, NRP, and ACLS certifications.

Responsibilities

Attending to high-risk deliveries and manage pre-term and full-term newborns.
Precepting and supervising interns and residents.
Participating in hospital and department subcommittees, including clinical and quality improvement initiatives.
Participating in the resident education subcommittee.
Supervising residents’ clinical performance and leading bedside discussions.
Providing formal lectures.
Diagnosis and management of patients in the Level III Neonatal ICU.
