About The Position

CHOC Children’s Hospital, part of Rady Children’s Health, Division of Neonatology, is seeking 10+ Board Certified/Eligible Neonatologists. The group consists of 90 neonatologists serving CHOC, UCI, and 18 other hospitals in Southern California. The group also manages an expanding newborn hospitalist program supported by advance practice providers. The CHOC NICU is equipped for ECMO and Cardiac Surgeries and manages specialized neonatal services including a Small Baby Unit, Surgical NICU, CVNICU, and Neuro NICU. There is a shared Neonatology fellowship program with the University of California, Irvine, a new Neonatal Hemodynamic and Cardiovascular fellowship program, and a pediatric residency program at CHOC. The Division supports broad research programs in clinical and quality improvement. CHOC is recognized as one of few children’s hospitals with a distinguished innovation center and artificial intelligence MI3 program. Pediatric Subspecialty Faculty, Inc (PSF) is a private group with 26 pediatric medical and surgical subspecialty divisions, offering a wide range of pediatric subspecialty clinical services. With over 350 pediatric subspecialists, PSF physicians and advance practice providers deliver expert, innovative, and compassionate care to infants, children, adolescents, and adults in some specialties. The position is located in Orange County, California, known for its warm climate and proximity to entertainment, shopping, professional sports, beaches, mountains, and desert.

Requirements

  • Board Certified/Eligible Neonatologist
  • MD or DO degree
  • Completion of Neonatology fellowship program
  • Eligible for California medical license

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with ECMO
  • Experience with Cardiac Surgeries
  • Experience in specialized neonatal units (Small Baby Unit, Surgical NICU, CVNICU, Neuro NICU)
  • Interest in innovation and artificial intelligence in healthcare
