About The Position

Pediatrix Medical Group is seeking a Neonatologist to join our collaborative, experienced 4-physician team at Northwest Medical Center, an HCA Healthcare facility located in the heart of South Florida. This is an exciting opportunity to practice in a growing program with a strong commitment to clinical excellence, quality improvement, education, and innovation. The position involves caring for infants as young as 22 weeks gestation, attendance at high-risk deliveries and routine C-sections, and managing a diverse patient population with a mix of Level III and lower-acuity infants. Advanced neonatal therapies such as Therapeutic Hypothermia, High-Frequency Jet Ventilation, and High-Frequency Oscillatory Ventilation are utilized. There are opportunities for active involvement in quality improvement initiatives, partnership with the Florida Perinatal Quality Collaborative (FPQC), and teaching through PA student rotations. The practice offers flexible scheduling designed to support work-life balance and is supported by a highly experienced and exceptionally supportive nursing staff. A NICU renovation is planned in the coming years to support continued program growth.

Requirements

Board eligible or board certified neonatologist

Responsibilities

Care for infants as young as 22 weeks gestation
Attendance at high-risk deliveries and routine C-sections
Manage a diverse patient population with a mix of Level III and lower-acuity infants
Utilize advanced neonatal therapies including Therapeutic Hypothermia (Cooling), High-Frequency Jet Ventilation (HFJV), and High-Frequency Oscillatory Ventilation (HFOV)
Active involvement in quality improvement initiatives
Partnership with the Florida Perinatal Quality Collaborative (FPQC)
Teaching opportunities through PA student rotations
