About The Position

Requirements

Active Florida Advanced Registered Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant Licensure
Neonatal Nurse Practitioner Certification via National Certification Center or Board Certification via the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants
AHA BLS
NRP

Responsibilities

Provide expanded collaborative and comprehensive management of newborns, including well baby and critically ill neonates of all gestational ages
Take histories
Review pertinent medical records
Complete physical assessments
Diagnose and manage the care of assigned patients
Perform procedures necessary to appropriately manage and care for the neonates on the service
Educate parents, nurses and other health care providers
Provide counseling
Request and perform consultations
Initiate referrals
Provide appropriate handoff
Discharge planning
Maintain health records
Work weekends, night shift and holidays when requested
Provide care on Neonatal ground and air transports when requested
