About The Position

Produces precision parts by operating CNC machines according to process documentation and engineering drawings, consistently meeting established quality and production standards. This is an onsite role in Rome, New York, on the second shift. Employees in onsite roles work primarily onsite, and production employees are essential to product development.

Requirements

• Minimum high school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to read and comprehend blueprints and routings.
• Competence with hand tools and experience with measuring equipment.
• Basic computer skills, including logging on and data entry and retrieval.
• Obtain certifications and qualifications required to perform the job.
• U.S. citizenship is required because only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under the program or contract.

Nice To Haves

• Technical school background.
• Demonstration of basic educational competencies in reading and writing.

Responsibilities

• Obtain necessary stock, fixtures, tooling, and gaging.
• Set up and operate multiple CNC machines to produce module parts.
• Operate CNC machines such as lathes, grinders, drills, presses, and saws.
• Perform in-process inspection as a certified operator.
• Perform CMM.
• Support functions such as deburring, tumbling, and part marking as assigned.
• Perform computer transactions.
• Move parts to, from, and within the module.
• Clean machines and perform general housekeeping.
• Provide directions to the Machining Support Technician.
