About The Position

Responsible for efficiently operating machinery to produce parts according to customer drawings, internal sketches, and other instructions. The role includes setting and operating programs and machinery, preparing materials for scheduled orders, inspecting parts, and following health and safety practices. The operator will learn door styles, sizes, tolerances, and conversion from millimeters to inches, and help maintain a safe, orderly workplace.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos in English.
Basic math skills.
Ability to use and read a tape measure.
Ability to regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
Ability to stand constantly for 8–9 hours daily and to bend, twist, reach, push, pull, and lift a minimum of 25 pounds.

Responsibilities

Set and operate machine programs and machinery.
Follow instructions and read production tickets.
Perform visual inspections using measuring tapes.
Ensure the correct material is prepared for scheduled orders according to work order information.
Learn door styles, sizes, tolerances, and conversion from millimeters to inches.
Adhere to health and safety regulations, including consistent use of protective gear.
Support safety and good housekeeping to maintain a safe workplace.
Perform other related duties as required.
