Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Naval Architecture or equivalent experience with a background in marine structures, hydrostatics, and hydrodynamics.
  • Familiarity with AutoCAD, Rhino3D, GHS, Python, and Microsoft Office software packages.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Strong technical writing, teamwork abilities, time management, and problem solving skills.
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States.
  • Unrestricted access to work in the United States or eligibility for TN visas.
  • Some travel and fieldwork are required.
  • Some project assignments may require a valid driver's license, TWIC card, and/or current passport.

Nice To Haves

  • Engineer-in-Training certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Apply specific technical knowledge of hydrostatics, stability, and structural analyses.
  • Understand and apply knowledge of the maritime regulatory guidance, field work (shipchecking and shipboard systems performance surveys), shipyard practices, and contract specifications.
