About The Position

The Nautilus Barback supports bartenders at the poolside bar by keeping beverages, ingredients, glassware, and other supplies stocked and the bar clean, organized, and operating efficiently. The role contributes to a smooth service flow and an enjoyable guest experience in a fast-paced, team-driven environment. Duties include assisting with bar setup and breakdown, preparing garnishes, clearing drinkware, helping run orders during busy periods, and following health, safety, sanitation, and responsible alcohol service requirements. The position may require varying schedules to meet business needs, attendance at mandatory training sessions and meetings, and other assigned duties.

Requirements

Responsibilities

• Replenish and restock liquor, beer, wine, ice, glassware, garnishes, and other bar supplies throughout the shift.
• Assist bartenders with setting up and breaking down the bar before and after shifts or events.
• Prepare garnishes and other drink essentials, including lemon, lime, and orange wedges, cherries, and olives.
• Maintain bar cleanliness by washing and drying glassware, wiping surfaces, and regularly removing trash.
• Keep bar tools, equipment, and supplies organized and accessible to bartenders.
• Clear dirty glasses and empty drinkware from guest tables and bar counters.
• Monitor bar stock and alert bartenders or management when supplies are low.
• Provide polite, friendly service by assisting customers with basic requests and answering questions.
• Support bartenders in meeting customer needs and keeping bar operations efficient.
• Coordinate with bartenders, servers, and bar managers to maintain smooth service, especially during busy periods.
• Help prepare and run drink orders during peak hours to support timely beverage delivery.
• Follow health, safety, and sanitation guidelines for beverage handling and bar cleanliness.
• Comply with alcohol laws and regulations and ensure drink orders are handled responsibly.
• Maintain regular attendance, attend mandatory training sessions and meetings, and perform other duties as assigned.
