About The Position

The National Sales Director leads IndeVets’ nationwide Hospital Success Team, which includes Strategic Support Managers (SSMs) and Territory Development Representatives (TDRs). This role owns the national sales strategy and operating rhythm required to drive hospital growth, utilization, retention, and satisfaction. The Director will establish clear expectations, strengthen pipeline and forecasting discipline, develop talent, and create accountability for measurable results. Success requires close partnership with Recruiting, Marketing, Operations, Clinical, and Executive Leadership to align market demand, veterinarian supply, customer experience, and sustainable growth.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of experience in sales leadership
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Proven success leading multi-regional or national sales teams.
  • Strong track record of driving growth and building high-performance cultures.
  • Experience with CRM tools (Salesforce preferred).
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong customer service and time management skills

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute the national sales strategy, translating company objectives into clear regional, team, and individual plans
  • Align SSM and TDR responsibilities, territory coverage, handoffs, and priorities to maximize the new business generation
  • Own pipeline health, opportunity progression, forecast accuracy, conversion, and sales productivity; identify gaps early and drive corrective action
  • Increase utilization and share of wallet within existing hospital accounts through disciplined account planning and proactive identification of staffing needs
  • Establish consistent sales processes, CRM standards, performance scorecards, and operating cadences across the team
  • Coach, mentor, and develop leaders and individual contributors through regular 1:1s, field support, and targeted development plans
  • Use market, customer, and performance data to prioritize whitespace opportunities, improve territory strategy, and allocate resources effectively
  • Partner cross-functionally to align sales activity with veterinarian supply, recruiting capacity, marketing programs, and clinical & operational execution
  • Identify and replicate high-performing behaviors, improve team effectiveness, and foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement

Benefits

  • Base Salary: $135,000 to $155,000 per year, depending on experience and internal equity
  • Performance Bonus: Annual target of 20% of base salary
