National Nurse Residency Program
About The Position
As a National Resident RN, you will participate in a supportive residency with personalized attention intended to foster long-term success and cross-training across interconnected Nursing units. You will provide individualized patient care in collaboration with physicians and multidisciplinary teams, administer treatments, monitor vital signs, and educate patients and families while carrying out varied nursing tasks. You will engage in a comprehensive, evidence-based Residency Program that includes clinical orientation, practice, and mentorship. The role involves developing skills in evidence-based practice, the nursing process, critical thinking, and problem solving to provide holistic care across the lifespan and care continuum. You will also learn to collaborate and communicate with the interprofessional team to support effective patient care and desired outcomes. Virginia Mason Franciscan Health provides healthcare services through a network of 10 hospitals and nearly 300 care sites across the greater Puget Sound region.
Requirements
- Associate of Science in Nursing.
- 0–12 months of professional Registered Nurse experience upon hire.
- Registered Nurse license in Washington upon hire.
- Basic Life Support (CPR) certification upon hire.
