About The Position

BKM Capital Partners and BKM Management Company are seeking a National Facilities Manager to oversee planning, development, coordination, and management of the companies’ corporate and field offices. Based in the Newport Beach, California office, this role is the single point of accountability for office openings, construction and buildouts, relocations, temporary office arrangements, expansions, and ongoing facility improvements. The manager coordinates with Property Management, Construction, IT, Human Resources, Administration, Accounting, and regional leadership to ensure offices are planned, delivered, and operational when needed. This is a hands-on, cross-functional role focused on ownership of BKM’s national office infrastructure, workplace standards, and scalable processes—not simply facilities maintenance. It requires managing complex projects across multiple markets, anticipating challenges, and driving accountability among departments. The role is 100% in-office and requires travel as needed, up to 10%.

  • Strong business judgment, financial awareness, and cost-management skills.
  • Ability to interpret office floor plans, space requirements, and basic construction documentation.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, Outlook, and Teams.
  • Ability to work independently, make decisions, and escalate significant concerns when appropriate.
  • Ability to build collaborative relationships and work effectively with senior leadership.
  • Adaptability and resourcefulness in a rapidly growing company with changing priorities.
  • Commitment to professional, consistent, and positive workplace experiences for employees.
  • High standards of integrity, professionalism, and ethical conduct.

  • Professional certification such as FMP, CFM, or PMP.

  • Identify and manage temporary office solutions, including flexible workspace providers such as Regus and WeWork; coordinate setup, costs, renewals, and moves to permanent facilities.
  • Manage facilities vendors and procurement, obtain and evaluate bids, negotiate pricing, establish preferred vendors, and monitor budgets and expenditures.
  • Review invoices and project expenses for accuracy and budget compliance, and maintain vendor, warranty, contract, and equipment-purchase records.
  • Serve as a corporate resource for significant field-office facilities issues and coordinate major repairs, renovations, furniture replacements, and improvements with local Office Managers.
  • Work with qualified professionals and vendors on applicable building, fire, accessibility, and workplace safety requirements; develop preventive maintenance and facilities planning procedures where appropriate.
