About The Position

The National Accounts Manager will act as a liaison between Distributors and Corporate offices, developing and implementing best practices for establishing, building, and maintaining customer relationships to position the company as a supplier of choice. This role requires travel to work trade shows and open houses, and conducting face-to-face meetings with distributor principals and their management teams. The manager will also conduct distributor visits, resolve market conflicts within Daikin Distribution channels, assist in sales planning and forecasting, and execute sales efforts to achieve budgetary goals. Recommendations will be made to improve services and expand on local successes in new markets, while identifying untapped or underdeveloped market opportunities. The position involves working alongside Company Owned Distribution in supporting National Accounts and collaborating with all organizational departments. A working knowledge of PAP and Rebate Automation is expected, along with performing other assigned tasks. The role ensures work aligns with the Director’s expectations, goals, and vision, and is accountable for implementing policies, processes, and procedures for short-term results. Decisions and problem-solving are guided by policies, procedures, and the business plan, with guidance received from the Senior Manager/Director. The role works on difficult to moderately complex issues and projects, provides guidance and training to subordinates, and has authority to hire, recommend pay, establish performance, and recommend for termination.

Requirements

  • 3 - 7 years minimum of progressive responsibility in strategic sales or sales management to mid-size and large customers.
  • Proven experience providing strategic account management to mid-size and large organizations through matrix environments, requiring multi-million dollar complex contracts
  • Proven track record of exceeding customer expectations and anticipating their needs
  • Experience developing and managing new and existing accounts and selling within all levels (including C-level) of an organization
  • Qualified Applicants must be legally authorized for employment in the United States.

  • Demonstrated high business acumen and understanding of finance/financial principles
  • Knowledgeable in channel partner models and the local competitive environment
  • Ability to engage in travel without restriction, both domestically and internationally
  • Working knowledge of MS Office – Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, (Access is a plus
