The National Accounts Manager will act as a liaison between Distributors and Corporate offices, developing and implementing best practices for customer relationships to position the company as a supplier of choice. This role involves travel to trade shows and open houses, conducting face-to-face meetings with distributor principles and management teams, and resolving market conflicts within Daikin Distribution channels. The position requires assisting in sales planning and forecasting, executing sales efforts to achieve budgetary goals, and identifying untapped market opportunities. The National Accounts Manager will work alongside Company Owned Distribution to support National Accounts and collaborate effectively with all organizational departments. This role requires a working knowledge of PAP and Rebate Automation, and the incumbent performs other tasks as assigned. Decisions and problem-solving are guided by policies, procedures, and the business plan, with guidance received from a Senior Manager/Director. The role involves working on difficult to moderately complex issues and projects, providing guidance and training to subordinates, and having the authority to hire, recommend pay, establish performance, and recommend termination. The ability to quickly establish rapport, develop credibility, loyalty, trust, and commitment within assigned relationships is crucial. Demonstrated sound decision-making with diplomacy and adherence to company policies and procedures is expected. The role requires the ability to work within a matrix organization and closely with all business divisions to meet short deadlines, often requiring long periods of continuous work. Significant knowledge of corporate and field selling environments is necessary, as is the ability to work well with others, even remotely, and lead a diverse group. Skill in influencing others at all organizational levels, including developing credibility and trust with senior managers/decision-makers, is essential. Demonstrated ability to think strategically, manage risk, and be innovative in problem-solving is required. Excellent verbal and written communication skills are necessary, along with the ability to interpret technical information and adapt it for a business audience, and present information to various audiences. High business acumen and understanding of finance/financial principles are important, as is knowledge of channel partner models and the local competitive environment. The role requires the ability to travel without restriction, both domestically and internationally, and a working knowledge of MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, with Access being a plus).
