Requirements

  • College Degree or equivalent work experience in related job function.
  • Working conditions are an office environment with minimal physical exertion.
  • Requires 50%-70% travel.

  • Successful applicant typically has more than ten (10) years of experience in related job function; or experience in the building materials industry.

Responsibilities

  • Drive and grow profitable business with assigned Customers.
  • Identify specific product and service opportunities to increase existing and develop new business.
  • Present new program opportunities.
  • Facilitate connection of offerings with key decision makers.
  • Continual growth of comparable book gross margin for BMD, and our share with the customers
  • Communicate and specifically direct our branches on how to develop and grow business.
  • Analyze customer business, identify and execute margin improvement opportunities
  • Develop and maintain relationship with key decision makers, influencers and leadership of assigned customers.
  • Facilitate the relationship development with key Building Materials Distribution Division (BMD) leadership and field associates.
  • Communicate with other division associates as necessary to improve BMD processes and knowledge with the customer.
  • Be an advocate for the customer.
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
