The National Account Manager (Store) will be responsible for sales and products in the building wire category. This role will propose and execute store sales strategies, products, and programs, and coordinate field operations for resets to achieve maximum sales volume and margin potential at The Home Depot.

Requirements

  • Effective interpersonal skills; able to work across all levels internally and externally
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience as a National Account Manager in the home improvement industry
  • Demonstrated integrity, professionalism, and conflict resolution skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong leadership and decision-making capabilities
  • Willingness to travel up to 25%

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s degree in a business-related field
  • 5+ years’ experience in retail sales, preferably with The Home Depot accounts

Responsibilities

  • Identify growth opportunities through effective product placement and assortment optimization
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key Home Depot stakeholders at all levels
  • Analyze monthly compliance reports and sales data to uncover trends and opportunities
  • Partner with data analysts to evaluate performance and inform strategy
  • Manage customer reporting, including fill rates, retail reviews, assortment reviews, and pricing analyses
  • Execute product assortment and planogram (POG) changes internally and through customer systems
  • Lead PLRs and develop strategies to retain and grow business
  • Conduct store PK visits, store walks, trade shows, and perform other duties as assigned
  • Develop and deliver sales presentations highlighting performance, insights, and opportunities
  • Manage pricing updates and ensure alignment with agreed pricing strategies
  • Review and provide SKU-level forecasts across the full assortment
  • Optimize product mix by addressing underperforming items and expanding high-performing SKUs
  • Collaborate with supply chain and transportation teams to resolve account-specific issues
  • Review marketing materials for alignment with sales objectives
  • Manage and develop one direct report
