National Account Director, Enterprise Access

Immunome, Inc.
•$240,000 - $269,908

About The Position

Immunome is seeking a highly experienced and strategic National Account Director to lead integrated account strategy across a U.S. national footprint in support of its oncology portfolio. The role builds and sustains relationships with national and regional health plans, pharmacy benefit managers (PBMs), and key account customer networks to advance launch readiness, appropriate coverage and reimbursement, formulary access, and therapeutic adoption following regulatory approval. The position combines direct account ownership, strategic negotiation, and executive relationship management with cross-functional leadership. The Director serves as a primary resource for field teams, connecting headquarters strategy with local execution while addressing the distinct operating models, decision processes, and account economics of payer access and institutional purchasing. The role also leads payer and institutional launch readiness, coordinates account and field execution, and develops account-specific value communication using approved clinical and economic evidence. The position requires national customer engagement and travel of up to 50%.

Requirements

  • Significant biopharmaceutical market access or commercial experience managing national or major regional payer accounts and national oncology GPOs.
  • Experience across commercial, Medicare Part D, Medicaid fee-for-service, and Medicaid managed care markets, as well as community and IDN purchasing structures.
  • Proven success in account planning, senior stakeholder relationships, appropriate coverage, formulary or pathway outcomes, and field pull-through.
  • Experience leading payer, PBM, and oncology negotiations and evaluating pricing and contracting implications with Finance and Legal.
  • Experience communicating clinical and HEOR evidence with Medical Affairs support and developing educational programs through appropriate channels.
  • Demonstrated success influencing cross-functional strategy in a highly matrixed environment, and coaching or mentoring colleagues.
  • Prior product-launch experience, including account readiness and coordinated field execution.
  • Ability to engage customers nationally and travel up to 50%.
  • Deep knowledge of payer and PBM business models, revenues and incentives, and differences between insurance-side coverage and community and IDN purchasing.
  • Knowledge of formulary and PDL development, utilization management, reimbursement policies, and provider formulary and clinical pathway decisions.
  • Financial and contracting acumen across rebates, pricing, 340B, Medicaid Best Price, and key account economics.
  • Deep oncology therapeutic-area knowledge, including biologic and biosimilar access dynamics where relevant.
  • Ability to translate clinical and HEOR evidence into account-specific value narratives and identify evidence gaps with subject matter experts.
  • Executive presence, sound judgment, negotiation, stakeholder mapping, and relationship management skills across complex payer and provider accounts.
  • Cross-functional leadership and influence, including consultation, consensus building, mentoring, and collaboration across headquarters and field teams.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, strategic planning, and problem-solving skills; accountability and effective prioritization in a dynamic biotech environment.

Nice To Haves

  • Rare disease or rare oncology experience, with examples of differentiating accounts from large, high-volume therapeutic classes.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute multi-year payer, PBM, and key account institution plans with access objectives, stakeholder engagement, procurement strategies, and success measures.
  • Apply commercial, Medicare Part D, and Medicaid expertise alongside community and integrated delivery network (IDN) business acumen to tailor strategies to payer coverage decisions and provider purchasing structures.
  • Translate oncology market trends, clinical differentiation, reimbursement, and clinical pathway dynamics into national account priorities and commercial planning.
  • Build executive-level relationships with pharmacy directors, medical directors, clinical leaders, and pharmacy and therapeutics (P&T) decision-makers across national and regional health plans and PBMs.
  • Navigate formulary and preferred drug list development, utilization management, and coverage and reimbursement policies across commercial plans, Medicare Part D, Medicaid fee-for-service programs, and managed care organizations.
  • Map decision authority and payer affiliates; coordinate internal account teams to identify access barriers, align engagement, and advance appropriate coverage outcomes.
  • Build relationships with executives and other stakeholders across oncology customers and their member organizations, including CEOs, CFOs, COOs, medical directors, pharmacists, and practice administrators.
  • Extend engagement to IDNs, health systems, hospital and community oncology networks, and national clinical pathway organizations, aligning corporate relationships with local customer needs.
  • Use approved clinical and economic evidence to support appropriate preferred formulary and pathway positioning with relevant provider and pathway decision-makers while respecting independent clinical decisions.
  • Lead payer, PBM, and community account strategy and negotiations, including pull-through opportunities, within approved authority; balance coverage and purchasing objectives, rebate commitments, pricing dynamics, and long-term business value.
  • Partner with Market Access, Finance, Legal, and Compliance to evaluate contract economics, 340B considerations, and Medicaid Best Price implications, and secure approvals before commitments.
  • Prepare negotiation strategies, execute approved agreements, and coordinate implementation, performance monitoring, and renewals.
  • Translate local access and coverage landscapes into coordinated field pull-through plans with clear account responsibilities and adherence to company policies.
  • Partner with Medical Affairs and HEOR colleagues to translate clinical and economic evidence into account-specific value narratives using approved materials and appropriate scientific support.
  • Tailor compliant communications to payer evidence needs, population priorities, coverage considerations, and the clinical and business priorities of key account, provider, and pathway stakeholders.
  • Monitor formularies, utilization management, coverage policies, clinical pathways, and oncology market developments; synthesize account insights and evidence gaps into actionable internal recommendations.
  • Serve as the primary payer and corporate accounts resource for field sales, connecting headquarters strategy, national agreements, and local execution.
  • Partner with Commercial field and Market Access colleagues on shared accounts, aligning priorities, responsibilities, customer messaging, and coordinated action plans; provide proactive consultation to internal functions.
  • Lead cross-functional account teams and mentor colleagues, fostering accountability, consensus building, and coordinated execution without relying on direct reporting authority.
  • Lead payer and key institutional account launch readiness, aligning access strategies, contracting timelines, stakeholder engagement, and field execution with applicable regulatory approvals.
  • Develop and execute educational programs through available channels with appropriate internal partners and review processes, maintaining separation between commercial and medical activities.
  • Tailor rare disease and rare oncology launch strategies to clinical differentiation and account needs rather than relying on approaches designed for large, high-volume therapeutic classes.
