Requirements
- Previous nanny experience for a minimum of 2 years.
- Driver's license.
- Vehicle.
- Clean driving record.
- Tdap vaccine.
Nice To Haves
- Experience in behavioral health, special education, early intervention, ABA, speech or occupational therapy support, developmental services, or another special-needs setting.
- Experience as an RBT, behavioral health technician, paraprofessional, special education aide, developmental specialist, or caregiver for children with additional needs.
- Warm, patient, curious, playful, and open to learning.
- Ability to notice progress and celebrate children's achievements.
- Comfortable learning new communication methods.
- Ability to follow guidance from parents and therapists.
- Ability to bring warmth, instincts, creativity, and personality into the home.
Responsibilities
- Provide childcare for 3.5-year-old twins with autism and speech delays, and an 8-month-old baby.
- Engage children in age-appropriate activities including play, outdoor time, reading, music, and developmental activities.
- Support and integrate communication strategies, including AAC devices, into daily interactions.
- Collaborate with parents and therapists regarding communication tools and strategies.
- Perform child-related household tasks such as children's laundry, light meal prep, and tidying children's spaces.
- Maintain cleanliness of children's areas.
- Occasionally let out the family dog.
- Ensure safety and well-being of the children at all times.
- Participate in outings and appointments with at least one other adult present.
