About The Position

A warm, engaged family in Houston, TX (Post Oak Area) is seeking a full-time, live-out, long-term, professional bilingual nanny to support the development of their 20-month-old son, with a second baby arriving in December. The family is looking for someone to provide a strong foundation in care, safety, and early education, while remaining flexible and collaborative as the role evolves. This position involves occasional travel within Louisiana and periodic domestic and international travel. The ideal candidate will have significant newborn experience, an energetic and lively presence, a strong background in early childhood development, and a genuine passion for education. The family wants the nanny to introduce structured learning opportunities in Spanish and engage in age-appropriate enrichment activities. The role requires a safety-minded caregiver who can manage daily routines, including cooking healthy meals, transporting the child, and supporting developmental milestones. This is a collaborative home with hands-on parents, requiring a team player with excellent communication skills. Spanish language exposure is highly valued. The family is looking for a long-term commitment, with the possibility of additional children in the future.

Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years of relevant experience, including sufficient newborn experience.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Ability to take initiative in a dynamic household.
  • Minimal phone use during working hours.
  • All standard vaccinations should be up to date.
  • Candidates who are not currently living in Houston are encouraged to apply if they are interested in relocating independently.
  • BA/BS COLLEGE DEGREE | AA IN RELATED FIELD OF STUDY | OR A MINIMUM OF 5+ YEARS OF PROFESSIONAL NANNY EXPERIENCE
  • UP TO DATE FIRST-AID & CPR CERTIFICATION (WILLINGNESS TO RENEW AS NEEDED)

Responsibilities

  • All aspects of childcare: maintaining routines, planning enriching activities, supporting educational development, meal planning/prep for the child, all child-related cleaning and laundry support, and ensuring overall well-being in a safe, nurturing environment.
  • Introduce structured learning opportunities in Spanish.
  • Engage in age-appropriate enrichment and local educational classes, including weekly activities such as Gymboree and music class.
  • Cook healthy meals for the child.
  • Transport the child to and from activities.
  • Thoughtfully support developmental milestones.
  • Partner closely with the family and communicate well.
  • Be willing to travel with the family with advance notice.
