This is a full-time nanny position in Rosslyn Farms, PA, starting ASAP but flexible for the right candidate. The hours are Monday to Friday, 8 am - 4:30 pm, with flexibility for earlier starts or later ends with advance notice. The position guarantees 40 hours per week with an hourly rate of $30-35/hr DOE. The family has three children: a 4-year-old, an 18-month-old, and a newborn due in December. They also have one small hypoallergenic dog. The role includes one week of family-choice paid vacation, one week of nanny-choice paid vacation, and 5 sick or personal days. All major holidays are paid. The family is looking for an experienced nanny who is comfortable taking ownership of the children's days, engaging them in various activities, and maintaining an organized and nurturing environment. A family vehicle is provided, and the nanny must be comfortable using it. This is a low-screen household, emphasizing outdoor play, creativity, books, and real-world learning. The family's parenting style is nurturing with structure, routines, and clear expectations. The ideal candidate is experienced, energetic, creative, nurturing, interactive, organized, proactive, and communicative, with a genuine desire to become a long-term part of the children's lives. Occasional travel with the family is also a possibility.

Requirements

Up-to-date vaccinations required.
Tdap and MMR vaccinations required.
Previous nanny experience for a minimum of 2 years.
Driver's license.
Vehicle.
Clean driving record.

Responsibilities

Confidently take ownership of the children's days.
Engage children in activities such as playground visits, museum trips, swimming, crafts, cooking, and building obstacle courses.
Utilize a family vehicle for outings and activities.
Encourage childhood activities like playing outside, coloring, dress-up, reading books, conversation, imagination, and adventures.
Maintain a low-screen environment for the children.
Implement a nurturing parenting style with plenty of structure, routines, and clear expectations.
Redirect, explain, and model appropriate behavior.
Involve children in household tasks such as putting toys away or carrying items to the table.
Help keep the children's world organized.
Notice and restock supplies like diapers or art materials.
Let out the small, low-maintenance dog into the yard.
Occasionally come a little earlier or stay later with advance notice.
Willingness to travel with the family on occasion.
Get on the floor and engage in activities with the children.
Pack snacks and go on adventures.
Handle unexpected situations with patience and humor.
Restock, wash, pack, or reset items within the children's world.
Own the nanny role without needing constant direction.
