This is a full-time nanny position in Bakery Square, Pittsburgh, PA, with guaranteed 40 hours per week. The role involves regular childcare hours from approximately 6–8 am and 4:30–7 pm, with flexibility required for household support during the in-between hours. Availability for sick days, school closures, schedule changes, and occasional later evenings is essential. The hourly rate is $28-32, with potential for higher pay for the ideal candidate, and overtime for hours exceeding 40 per week. The position is for a family with a 6-year-old child. Benefits include one week of paid vacation chosen by the family, one week of paid vacation chosen by the nanny, and 3 sick or personal days, plus all major holidays. Requirements include MMR, Flu, and Covid vaccines, as well as having your own vehicle and a clean motor vehicle record.

Responsibilities

Provide childcare for a 6-year-old child.
Assist with school drop-offs and pickups.
Manage naps and meals for the child.
Engage in playtime and daily logistics with the child.
Perform family-assistant tasks when children are occupied or at school, including children's laundry, changing sheets, tidying bedrooms and the playroom, vacuuming kid spaces, bringing in groceries, chopping fruits and veggies, and light dinner prep.
Let out the family's senior, hypoallergenic dog once or twice a day and potentially join for walks.
Work collaboratively with parents who are home and involved.
Engage in outings and playdates, using either the nanny's own vehicle or a family car.
Occasionally flex earlier or later when Dad travels, with advance notice.
Maintain open communication and mutual respect with the family.
Be reliable, punctual, communicative, honest, level-headed, and possess common sense.
Take ownership of tasks and look for ways to support the family.
Be playful, responsible, and trustworthy.
