About The Position

East Wind Nannies is seeking a caregiver for a family in Mt. Washington, Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, for a six-month position running from January 4, 2027, through June 30, 2027. The nanny will care primarily for a 5.5-month-old baby boy while his almost-two-year-old sister attends daycare. The family values intentional childcare, a predictable routine, and creative, age-appropriate play that supports the baby’s development and milestones. The schedule is Monday through Friday, with a start time between 8 and 10 a.m. and an end time between 4 and 6 p.m. The family guarantees 40 hours per week and confirms the following week’s schedule each Thursday. The nanny will plan and engage the baby in activities such as sensory play, songs, reading, and outdoor walks. Occasional library visits are welcome if the nanny is comfortable driving. Household support related to the children includes washing bottles, children’s laundry, simple meal preparation, tidying play spaces, dishes, and a few light household tasks. The family has a bottle washer. The posting gives conflicting experience information: the summary says no prior nanny experience is required and the description welcomes experience from private nannying or infant daycare care, while the requirements section states that a minimum of two years of previous nanny experience is mandatory.
