About The Position
Part-time Nanny needed for a family in West Village, Manhattan, with four young children (ages 6 and under). The role involves weekday afternoons, focusing on engaging care, managing pickups and classes, child-related tidying, and evening meal preparation. This is a fast-paced and demanding position requiring excellent attention to detail, discretion, and professionalism. The ideal candidate will have experience caring for multiple children, a proven ability to multitask, a team-oriented mindset, and the ability to remain calm under pressure. You will work alongside other caregivers and parents, never being solely responsible for all four children. The family seeks someone highly motivated, warm, upbeat, active, and proactive with the children and household tasks. Adhering to and facilitating schedules is expected. The family is open to candidates seeking additional hours, which may increase during times like school breaks or nanny vacations.
Requirements
- Experience caring for multiple children

- Authorization to work in the US
- A minimum of 3-5 years experience working as a full time or steady part-time nanny in private homes
- A well-suited demeanor for working with children (including infants)
- Exceptional childcare references that attest to strong communication skills, reliability, punctuality, maturity and high emotional intelligence
- Education or equivalent knowledge of ages and stages of child growth and development
- Demonstrates professionalism and discretion at all times
- Fluency in both oral and written English
