About The Position

East Wind Nannies is seeking an experienced nanny and household manager for a family with three girls, ages 12, 10, and 10, in Mars, Pennsylvania. The family may eventually move to Sewickley Heights. The role combines hands-on childcare with proactive household management, supporting the girls and helping the household run smoothly. The family is seeking a long-term commitment of five or more years. The schedule is Monday through Friday, 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., with 40 guaranteed hours per week. Occasional earlier mornings or weekend support is appreciated. The position is expected to start ASAP. Compensation is listed as $104,000–$130,000 annually, also shown as $50–$55 per hour. During the school year, while the girls are at private school, household duties include preparing family dinners, grocery shopping and stocking the pantry, laundry, making beds, tidying common areas, organizing closets, running errands, managing household projects and keeping family routines organized. The role also involves preparing for activities and trips and anticipating household needs. Professional housekeepers visit twice weekly for deep cleaning, and a dog walker comes daily. After school, duties shift to childcare, including school or bus-stop pickups in the family’s provided SUV, coordinating activities and afternoon routines, and providing a warm, supportive presence. The girls enjoy skiing, tennis, swimming, piano, gymnastics and outdoor activities. Summers involve more time caring for the children and supporting swimming and other adventures; additional summer support may be provided if needed. The family has one friendly Labrador.

Requirements

At least five years of full-time professional nanny experience is requested; the posting’s requirements section also states a minimum of two years of previous nanny experience.
Household management experience and the ability to work independently.
Strong professional references.
Clean background check and driving record.
Driver’s license and a vehicle.
Active and energetic, and comfortable supporting children’s sports and outdoor activities, including swimming.
