About The Position

East Wind Nannies is seeking a warm, energetic, and highly organized nanny and household manager for a family in Mars, Pennsylvania, with a potential future move to Sewickley Heights. The role supports three girls, ages 12, 10, and 10, and combines hands-on childcare with proactive household management. The family is seeking a long-term commitment of five years or more. The position is scheduled for 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., Monday through Friday, with 40 guaranteed hours per week. Occasional earlier mornings or weekend support is appreciated. The start date is ASAP. Compensation is listed as $104,000–$130,000 annually, or $50–$55 per hour. During the school year, the nanny will manage household tasks while the girls are at private school, then handle pickups and support their afternoon activities and routines. Household duties include preparing family dinners, grocery shopping and stocking the pantry, laundry, making beds, tidying common areas, organizing closets, running errands, coordinating household projects and routines, and preparing for trips and activities. Professional housekeepers visit twice weekly for deep cleaning, and a dog walker comes daily. Summers involve more direct childcare, including swimming and outdoor activities; the father is open to providing additional summer support if needed. The family is looking for someone who can build a trusting, supportive relationship with the girls, encourage their interests, and provide a steady and caring presence as they grow. The ideal candidate is emotionally intuitive, dependable, discreet, punctual, proactive, independent, and an effective communicator who works well with the father and respects the girls’ mother’s irreplaceable role. The family provides an SUV for school or bus-stop pickups. The nanny must have a driver’s license, a vehicle, and a clean driving record.
