About The Position

A warm, active family in downtown Aspen is seeking an experienced full-time live-out Nanny/Household Manager to care for their delightful 2.5-year-old son in a long-term role. The family is expecting their second child in the fall, and the primary focus of this position will remain centered on their son while also providing supportive assistance to the household as the family grows. This is an excellent opportunity for a professional nanny who enjoys an outdoor lifestyle, thrives in a structured yet relaxed home environment, and is eager to become a trusted, long-term member of the family's team. The family ideally prefers a schedule of five days per week, Wednesday through Sunday, with Monday and Tuesday off, though they are open to some flexibility depending on the candidate's preference. The position guarantees 40 hours per week. On days when the child attends school three days per week, typical hours are 10:00 or 11:00am to 6:00pm. On non-school days when childcare is the primary focus, the schedule typically begins around 8:00 to 8:30am and ends around 4:30pm. The parents appreciate a nanny who is interactive and engaged, someone who actively plays with their son, takes him outdoors, and creates meaningful learning and play experiences rather than simply supervising. The role includes a blend of childcare and household support, with a genuine team mindset at its core. The nanny will work closely alongside the parents to ensure the family's day runs smoothly, proactively stepping in when needs arise and bringing a willingness to take on additional duties as requested. The family employs additional support through their family office, so responsibilities remain focused primarily on the child and maintaining a smooth daily household rhythm. Day-to-day household duties may include loading the dishwasher, completing family laundry, running errands, grocery shopping, picking up dry cleaning, and maintaining organization throughout the home, including closets, the pantry, and the children's play areas. The nanny will also manage packing and unpacking for family trips, with training provided to ensure all specific requirements are met. These household responsibilities generally take place while the child is at school or resting. The family lives in downtown Aspen and values an active lifestyle. While skiing is not required, candidates should enjoy spending time outdoors and be comfortable hiking, exploring parks, and participating in outdoor activities with the child. The toddler enjoys engaging play, outings, and time outside. Travel is an important component of this role and the nanny will be expected to accompany the family on many of their trips. Confidence and experience traveling with families in a working capacity are essential. A valid passport is required. When traveling with the family, the nanny will receive a $100 per day travel stipend in addition to regular compensation. The family is offering a salary of approximately $100,000 annually with room for growth over time. Full health coverage is provided through the family office. Housing support is available for non-local candidates. The family has secured a one-bedroom, one-bathroom apartment approximately 640 square feet located just minutes from the home, offered at significantly below-market rent. The apartment typically rents for $6,000 or more per month in Aspen, and the family will subsidize the cost substantially. Local candidates may receive a housing stipend in lieu of the apartment. The ideal candidate is warm, trustworthy, active, and highly engaged with young children. They should be comfortable working alongside parents, respectful of household privacy, and capable of taking initiative to support the family's day-to-day needs. Strong references, a clean background, and the ability to maintain excellent professional boundaries are essential. The family is hoping to hire as soon as possible and would like to conduct a two to three week working trial to ensure the role is a strong mutual fit. This is a wonderful opportunity for a career nanny who would enjoy living and working in Aspen while supporting a kind family and an energetic young child in a beautiful mountain environment.
