About The Position

The Nail Technician will provide exceptional manicure, pedicure, and nail enhancement services for our Members and Guests. This role is responsible for delivering personalized nail care treatments while creating a relaxing, luxurious environment that reflects the Club's commitment to personalized hospitality and five-star service. Nail Technicians are expected to educate Members on nail health and contribute to an exceptional Spa experience that encourages long-term Member relationships and retention.

Requirements

  • Current California Manicurist or Cosmetology License required.
  • Minimum 2–3 years of professional Nail Technician experience preferred in a luxury Spa, private club, salon, or resort environment.
  • Strong knowledge of nail anatomy, sanitation standards, and infection control procedures.
  • Experience with: Gel, Acrylic, Hard Gel, Nail Repair and Luxury Mani/Pedi treatments.
  • Knowledge of relaxing hand and foot massage techniques.
  • Exceptional customer service and relationship-building skills.
  • Excellent verbal communication and consultation abilities.
  • Ability to educate Members on nail health and home care.
  • Comfortable recommending retail products and service enhancements.
  • Basic computer proficiency and willingness to learn Spa scheduling software.
  • Positive attitude, professional demeanor, and exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to deliver service to members, guests, and team members.
  • Must be able to work flexible work hours/schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays. Long hours may be required due to business demands.
  • Ability to work in a team environment.
  • Ability to stay calm and focused during the busiest of times.
  • Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English; additional languages preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver exceptional five-star manicure, pedicure, and nail enhancement services tailored to each Member's preferences and lifestyle.
  • Build meaningful relationships with Members by providing personalized care and remembering service preferences.
  • Welcome Members warmly and create a relaxing, comfortable environment throughout each appointment.
  • Conduct consultations to evaluate nail health, discuss treatment options, and recommend appropriate services.
  • Educate Members on nail health, at-home care, and product recommendations.
  • Maintain strict confidentiality regarding all Member information and personal conversations.
  • Provide a warm, professional, and welcoming experience that reflects the luxury standards of The Madison Club.
  • Perform professional manicure, pedicure, and nail enhancement services in accordance with Club standards and state licensing requirements.
  • Provide Services including, but not limited to: Classic Mani/Pedis, Gel Mani/Pedis, Gel Polish Removal, Acrylic, GelX, Hard Gel Services, Pink/White Enhancements, Nail Repair/ Maintenance and Hand/ Foot Treatments
  • Prepare treatment stations before each appointment, ensuring cleanliness, organization, and proper presentation.
  • Sanitize implements, equipment, and workstations in accordance with California State Board regulations and Spa protocols.
  • Maintain adequate inventory of nail products, tools, retail merchandise, and treatment supplies.
  • Monitor product expiration dates and maintain proper sanitation logs when required.
  • Keep treatment areas consistently organized and reflective of luxury hospitality standards.
  • Report equipment maintenance or inventory needs to management promptly.
  • Educate Members on professional nail care products and home maintenance routines.
  • Recommend retail products that complement services and support overall nail health.
  • Maintain product knowledge through ongoing education and vendor training.
  • Collaborate closely with Spa Coordinator, Massage Therapists, Estheticians, Spa & Locker Room Attendants, and fellow Spa Providers to ensure a seamless Member experience.
  • Communicate Member preferences, appointment updates, and operational needs professionally.
  • Participate in staff meetings, continuing education, product knowledge sessions, and seasonal training.
  • Support fellow Spa team members during busy periods and assist with operational needs whenever possible.
  • Foster a respectful, collaborative, and positive team environment.
  • Demonstrate professionalism, integrity, discretion, and accountability in every Member interaction.
  • Arrive prepared and on time for scheduled appointments.
  • Maintain all California licensing requirements and continuing education.
  • Follow all Spa policies, treatment protocols, sanitation standards, and safety procedures.
  • Demonstrate initiative by assisting with Spa operations between appointments.
  • Maintain treatment stations and common areas to the highest standards of cleanliness and organization.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
