About The Position

Mirbeau Inn & Spa Rhinebeck is seeking a Nail Technician to provide high-quality, personalized nail services in a refined, wellness-focused spa environment. The role includes manicures, pedicures, nail enhancements, and other spa treatments tailored to guest preferences and performed according to spa standards. The Nail Technician is expected to deliver precise, clean work with a calming presence and attentive, guest-centered care. The position requires maintaining a welcoming and professional guest experience, following sanitation and safety requirements, understanding spa services and products, and collaborating with spa colleagues to support smooth operations. Pay is $27–$29 per treatment, plus guest gratuities and potential retail commission. The posting says the technician must hold a current, valid NYS/MA license. Prior experience in spa, wellness, and refined hospitality is strongly preferred. Weekend and holiday scheduling flexibility is required.

Responsibilities

Welcome guests warmly and professionally, maintaining a polished appearance and calming presence.
Provide manicures, pedicures, nail enhancements, and wellness-focused treatments in line with spa standards and guest preferences.
Deliver relaxing, personalized services with a gentle, precise touch and attention to detail.
Consult with guests about treatments, polish options including Dazzle Dry, and retail products suited to their needs.
Respond professionally to guest requests and demonstrate attentiveness to guest comfort and satisfaction.
Reconfirm treatments and assist with transitions to locker or resting areas to support a seamless guest journey.
Close each service with thoughtful remarks, thanking the guest and offering personalized pleasantries.
Keep treatment areas, stations, and tools clean, organized, and sanitized in compliance with spa, state, and health department requirements.
Follow safety, infection-control, product-use, and equipment-handling procedures.
Demonstrate knowledge of spa nail services, techniques, and products; educate guests about retail products and aftercare.
Arrive on time and maintain a neat, well-groomed appearance with the required uniform and name tag.
Collaborate with spa attendants, front desk staff, and other providers to support spa operations and guest flow.
Participate in team meetings, training, and ongoing development as required by spa leadership.
Assist with general spa duties and special requests as directed by the Spa Desk or Spa Director.
Support spa scheduling needs, including weekends and holidays.
Apply polish systems, including Dazzle Dry, precisely and consistently.
Provide appropriate service enhancements, such as gentle exfoliation and light hand, arm, foot, or leg massage.
Perform services efficiently and skillfully while respecting scheduled timing and service flow.
Stay informed about seasonal treatments, promotions, and current nail-care and wellness practices.
