About The Position

Ryder is immediately hiring a permanent, full-time Nail Maintenance Associate to ensure excellent craftsmanship at our manufacturing facility in Lakewood, WA. This role is crucial for maintaining our warehouse operations. We utilize state-of-the-art equipment and prioritize a safe working environment. Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
1 to 2 years or more in Carpentry, Manufacturing Environment preferred.
Ability to comprehend basic math.
Ability to operate power tools in a safe manner.
Must be able to follow repair process.
Must be able to twist, stoop, squat, reach above shoulder level and crouch on a frequent basis.
Must be able to use proper techniques to lift a minimum of 75 lbs.
Capable of standing and walking for extended periods of time (at least 2 hours straight, four times in an 8-hour day).
Able to use hands and feet simultaneously and perform repetitive movements.

Responsibilities

Pallet Repair: Safely and securely repair pallets at a rate that meets company standards and in a manner that meets company safety standards.
Manually lift 75 lb pallets from a stack to a repair table.
Complete minor repairs such as cutting loose nails or securing loose components.
Operate a hammer, grinder, and a saw to remove existing nails and use a 25 lb nail gun to nail together the components.
Ensure pallets meet and pass CHEP’s quality control audit.
Safety, Sanitation, Security: Maintain a clean, neat, and orderly work area.
Assist in maintaining the security of the warehouse.
Conduct operations in a manner which promotes safety.
Comply with OSHA and MSDS Standards.
Must wear all safety equipment while repairing pallets.
Performs other duties as assigned.
