About The Position

Part-time Retail Merchandiser representing Mondelēz International in stores. The role supports in-store execution for brands including Oreo, Ritz, belVita, Chips Ahoy!, and Triscuit by stocking shelves, building displays, and supporting seasonal launches and promotions. Merchandisers conduct scheduled store visits, maintain relationships with store teams, and help keep snack aisles organized, inviting, and ready for shoppers. The position involves physical work, including moving products from stockrooms to store floors and stocking shelves, and requires travel among store locations using a personal vehicle. The primary location is Newport News, Virginia, with Hampton, Virginia, as a secondary location. The role services a military base facility and requires an approved form of identification for access. Required schedule availability is Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday, and Saturday. Hourly compensation is $14.00–$16.00, based on relevant experience.

Requirements

At least 18 years of age.
Valid REAL ID driver’s license issued by the state of residence, U.S. passport, or federal ID for access to the military base facility.
Ability to drive a personal vehicle with valid insurance coverage to various store locations.
Ability to perform repetitive lifting, bending, and carrying up to 25 pounds; occasionally push and pull over 50 pounds.
Ability to move products from the stockroom to the store floor and stock shelves.
Availability Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday, and Saturday.

Nice To Haves

High school diploma or GED preferred.
Previous retail or grocery experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

Represent Mondelēz in stores with professionalism and a positive attitude.
Provide customer service to store teams and shoppers.
Conduct store visits according to Mondelēz DSD Merchandising Principles, including capturing display photos via DMI.
Build and maintain relationships with store personnel, including backroom receivers.
Stock shelves, rotate products, and maintain brand standards.
Implement promotional displays and follow negotiated plans set by the Retail Territory Manager (RTM).
Follow daily schedules and priorities set by the RTM.
Support seasonal sales, new product launches, and high-visibility merchandising events.
Communicate store-level insights, issues, and opportunities to the RTM and retail team via Salesforce.
Follow safety and compliance practices while performing physical merchandising work.
