About The Position

Anticipated Vacancy for a High School Musical Costume Designer for School Year 2026-27. This role is responsible for designing costumes in collaboration with the musical director, sourcing wardrobe through creation, rental, or borrowing, and managing all aspects of costume preparation and maintenance for the school musical.

Requirements

• All required clearances.
• Physical and TB test.
• District requirements must be completed before employment.

Responsibilities

• Designing costumes in collaboration with the musical director.
• Sourcing wardrobe by creating, renting, or borrowing all necessary pieces.
• Creating a costume plot.
• Measuring actors.
• Conducting fittings.
• Completing all alterations and repairs before tech.
• Being available for tech/dress rehearsal fixes.
• Ensuring all borrowed or rented items are cleaned and returned after the musical is completed.
• Maintaining the costume storage area.
