About The Position

This posting is for TMU131H1 - Music Theory II, a course covering chromatic harmony, including modulation, mixture, Neapolitan, and augmented sixth chords. The course will be taught in two sections, both meeting on Mondays and Wednesdays from 11 am to 12 pm and 12 pm to 1 pm, respectively. The contract period is from January to April 2027. Requirements

  • Doctoral degree in music theory
  • Extensive knowledge of theories of harmony and music theory pedagogy
  • Demonstrated excellence teaching music theory at the university level
