About The Position

Guitar Center Music Teachers teach music lessons to students using the Guitar Center Lessons curriculum. They help grow and retain student enrollment, support each student’s musical development and enjoyment, and contribute to a culture of integrity, inclusion, musical passion, and respect. The role also includes partnering with students and families through regular communication about progress and goals, and assisting with customer service as needed.

Requirements

Previous experience in music, education, or a related field.
Ability to teach an instrument in which the applicant is proficient, such as bass, guitar, or keyboard.
Ability to demonstrate competency and proficiency in the area they will teach.

Responsibilities

Partner with the store Lessons Lead to schedule and retain student headcount based on community needs.
Teach students using the Guitar Center Lessons Curriculum.
Assist with customer service as needed and help build and maintain long-term student relationships by creating a great experience.
Communicate frequently with students and families, building trusting relationships and recognizing parents’ knowledge of their child.
Communicate each student’s progress and share student and/or parent goals and progress regularly.
Perform additional duties as assigned.
