About The Position

Music & Arts is seeking a Music Teacher to teach private music lessons and inspire students. The teacher creates an engaging, supportive, and safe learning environment for students of varying ages and skill levels, and helps them develop as musicians. The role includes communicating with students and parents about goals and progress and working with store teams to schedule lessons and encourage student retention. Music & Arts handles administrative work so instructors can focus on teaching. The position is part-time and based at Store 2208 in Richmond, Virginia. Pay is $12.77 per hour for non-teaching work, plus a teaching rate of $10–$23 per hour depending on background and experience. Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Music Education or Music Performance, or equivalent experience.
• At least 2 years of music teaching experience.

Nice To Haves

• Advanced degree (Master’s or Doctoral) in Music.
• Professional teaching memberships or certifications.
• At least 8 years of teaching experience, especially experience teaching multiple instruments.
