About The Position

As a Music Teacher, you will teach music lessons to students according to the Guitar Center Lessons curriculum. You will work to increase student count and ensure each student continues to grow, develop, and enjoy playing music, while nurturing a culture of integrity, inclusion, musical passion, and respect. The role is suited to someone with a Customer First mindset who wants to provide an excellent Customer experience. You will partner with the store Lessons Lead to schedule and retain students based on community needs, teach lessons, and assist with Customer service as needed to build and maintain long-term students. You will also communicate frequently with students and their families about student progress and goals, building trusting relationships and recognizing parents’ knowledge of their children.

Requirements

Previous experience in Music, Education, or a related field.
Ability to teach an instrument in which the candidate is proficient, such as drums, guitar, or keyboard.
Ability to demonstrate competency and proficiency in the area being taught.

Responsibilities

Partner with the store Lessons Lead to schedule and retain student headcount based on community needs.
Teach students using the Guitar Center Lessons Curriculum.
Assist with Customer service as needed to build and maintain long-term students by creating a great experience.
Communicate frequently with students and families, building trusting relationships and embracing parents’ knowledge of their child as a music teacher.
Communicate each student’s progress to the student and/or their parents.
Share students’ and/or parents’ goals and progress frequently.
Perform additional duties as assigned.
