About The Position

Notre Dame Catholic School in Spring Hill is seeking a part-time K–8 Music Teacher for the 2026–2027 school year. The school is looking for someone who consistently strives to do what is best for students, is creative and collaborative, is committed to continued learning, and wants to join a team with high expectations for itself and its students. Candidates must support the mission of Catholic Education. Employment is contingent upon successful completion of a Level II background screening and Safe Environment Training.

Requirements

• Support the mission of Catholic Education.
• Minimum of a bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university.
• Successful completion of a Level II background screening and Safe Environment Training is required as a condition of employment.

Nice To Haves

• Florida Teaching Certificate is preferred.
• The ideal candidate has 3–5 years of teaching experience in an elementary or middle school setting.
• Creativity, collaboration, commitment to continued learning, and a focus on students are desired qualities.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement engaging unit and lesson plans aligned with standards.
• Assess and evaluate student performance through various methods.
• Manage classroom behavior effectively to create a conducive learning environment.
• Collaborate with other educators and staff to help fulfill the school mission.
• Maintain open communication with parents regarding student progress and classroom activities.
• Lead and organize the school-wide Christmas program and Spring Concert.
