About The Position

St. Raphael Catholic School is seeking a dedicated Substitute Teacher to work on an as-needed basis. The Substitute Teacher follows lesson plans and maintains a positive classroom environment to support student learning when the regular classroom teacher is absent. Employment is contingent upon successful completion of a Level 2 background screening.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Education or a related field.
• Teaching certificate or substitute teacher permit.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to manage a classroom and engage effectively with students.
• Flexibility and adaptability to work in different classroom settings.
• Successful completion of a Level 2 background screening is a condition of employment.

Responsibilities

• Follow lesson plans provided by the absent teacher.
• Manage the classroom environment to ensure a positive and productive learning experience.
• Implement effective teaching strategies to facilitate student learning.
• Maintain a safe and inclusive classroom atmosphere.
• Communicate with school staff and administrators as needed.
• Provide feedback on student behavior and academic performance.
• Uphold school policies and procedures.
• Complete necessary paperwork or reports related to the day's activities.
