About The Position
St. Raphael Catholic School is seeking a full-time Middle School Math Teacher for the 2026–2027 school year. The teacher will support the mission of Catholic education by providing engaging instruction grounded in Catholic teachings and values. The preferred candidate is passionate about teaching and can create intellectually engaging unit plans, use effective classroom management strategies, provide cooperative learning opportunities, incorporate technology into instruction, and interpret testing data to guide instruction. Employment is contingent upon successful completion of a Level 2 background screening. The school’s mission is: “Christ is the cornerstone of St. Raphael Catholic School, where we empower all to strive for academic excellence, provide faith-filled service to others, reflect Catholic values, and become responsible leaders of the Church and community.”
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in education or a related field.
- Valid Florida Teaching Certificate in Math, or the necessary education and experience to acquire certification upon employment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Passion for educating students and embodying Catholic values in the classroom.
- Successful completion of a Level 2 background screening is required for employment.
Nice To Haves
- Teaching experience, possibly in a Catholic school, is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Develop engaging lesson plans in accordance with the school’s curriculum and Catholic teachings.
- Adapt teaching methods to cater to the diverse needs of students.
- Monitor and assess student progress to ensure comprehension and growth.
- Foster open communication with students, parents, and staff, reflecting Catholic values.
- Cultivate an inclusive and nurturing classroom environment grounded in Catholic principles.
- Create intellectually engaging unit plans, use effective classroom management strategies, provide cooperative learning opportunities, and incorporate technology in classroom instruction.
- Interpret testing data and use it to guide instruction.
