About The Position

Music & Arts is seeking a Music Teacher to provide private music instruction and inspire students. The teacher creates an engaging, supportive, and safe learning environment for students of varied ages and skill levels, and builds positive relationships with students and parents through regular communication, goal-setting, and progress updates. The role partners with store teams to schedule lessons and encourage student retention. Music & Arts handles administrative work so instructors can focus on teaching and fostering students’ musical growth.

The position is part-time at Store 7457 in Oceanside, New York. The listed pay is $17.00 per hour for non-teaching work and $10.50–$22.00 per hour for teaching, depending on background and experience. Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Music Education or Music Performance, or equivalent experience.
• Two years of music teaching experience.

Nice To Haves

• Advanced degree (Master’s or Doctoral) in Music.
• Professional teaching memberships or certifications.
• Eight or more years of teaching experience, especially with multiple instruments, including banjo, baritone, bass clarinet, bass guitar, bassoon, cello, clarinet, flute, French horn, guitar, mandolin, oboe, percussion, piano, piccolo, saxophone, string bass, trombone, trumpet, tuba, ukulele, viola, violin, and voice.
