About The Position

As a Music Teacher at Guitar Center, you will teach music lessons to students according to the Guitar Center Lessons curriculum. You will help increase and retain student enrollment while supporting each student’s growth, development, and enjoyment of playing music. The role contributes to a culture of integrity, inclusion, musical passion, and respect, and supports an excellent Customer experience. You will partner with the store Lessons Lead to schedule lessons and retain student headcount based on community needs. You will also assist with Customer service as needed and build long-term student relationships by creating a positive experience. Frequent communication with students and families is expected to build trusting relationships, discuss student progress, and share goals and progress.

Requirements

Previous experience in music, education, or a related field.
Ability to teach an instrument in which the applicant is proficient, such as drums, guitar, or keyboard.
Demonstrated competency and proficiency in the area to be taught.

Responsibilities

Partner with the store Lessons Lead to schedule lessons and retain student headcount based on community needs.
Teach students using the Guitar Center Lessons curriculum.
Assist with Customer service as needed and help build and maintain long-term students by creating a positive experience.
Communicate frequently with students and families, building trusting relationships and recognizing parents’ knowledge of their child.
Communicate each student’s progress to the student and/or their parents.
Frequently share student goals and progress with students and/or parents.
Perform additional duties as assigned.
