About The Position

The Music Teacher (Grades K-12) will plan, organize, and present instruction and instructional environments that help students learn subject matter and skills that will contribute to their cognitive, physical, and social/emotional development in the 21st century. The individual must hold a current North Carolina Professional Educators license for his/her area of assignment and must hold or be eligible to hold a North Carolina Professional Educators license in Music Education (K-12).

Requirements

Must hold a current North Carolina Professional Educators license for his/her area of assignment.
Must hold or be eligible to hold a North Carolina Professional Educators license in Music Education (K-12).
Minimum Bachelor’s degree from an approved education program in subject area
NC Teaching License or have qualifications to obtain a NC Teaching License
Strong background in North Carolina Standard Course of Study/Common Core and Essential Standards

Coordinate and direct the activities of the Teacher Assistant, if applicable
Perform other related work as required
