About The Position

This position is for an Elementary Education Teacher (K-6) responsible for planning, organizing, and presenting instruction and instructional environments that help students learn subject matter and skills contributing to their cognitive, physical, and social/emotional development in the 21st century. The role involves differentiating instruction, managing instructional time and student behavior, motivating students, and collaborating with parents, teachers, administrators, and the community. The teacher will also coordinate activities of a Teacher Assistant, if applicable, and perform other related tasks as required. The position operates within the North Carolina Teacher Salary Scale with an additional $2,000 LCPS Supplement and performance is evaluated using the NC Educator Effectiveness System.

Requirements

  • Minimum Bachelor’s degree from an approved education program in subject area
  • NC Teaching License or have qualifications to obtain a NC Teaching License
  • Strong background in North Carolina Standard Course of Study/Common Core and Essential Standards
