About The Position

As a Music Teacher at Guitar Center, you will teach music lessons to students using the Guitar Center Lessons curriculum. You will help grow student enrollment and support each student's musical development and enjoyment while fostering a culture of integrity, inclusion, musical passion, and respect. You will work with the store Lessons Lead to schedule and retain students based on community needs, provide customer service as needed, and build lasting relationships with students and their families through frequent communication about progress and goals.

Requirements

Previous experience in music, education, or a related field.
Ability to teach an instrument in which the applicant is proficient, such as drums, guitar, or keyboard.
Demonstrated competency and proficiency in the area the applicant will teach.

Responsibilities

Partner with the store Lessons Lead to schedule and retain student headcount based on community needs.
Teach students using the Guitar Center Lessons curriculum.
Assist with customer service as needed and help build and maintain long-term student relationships by creating a positive experience.
Communicate frequently with students and their families, build trusting relationships, and recognize parents' knowledge of their children as music students.
Share students' goals and progress with students and/or their parents.
Perform additional duties as assigned.
