About The Position

As a Music Teacher at Guitar Center, you will teach music lessons to students according to the Guitar Center Lessons curriculum. You will help increase and retain student enrollment while supporting each student’s growth, development, and enjoyment of playing music. In doing so, you will nurture a culture of integrity, inclusion, musical passion, and respect, and provide an excellent customer experience.

Requirements

Previous experience in music, education, or a related field.
Ability to teach an instrument in which the applicant is proficient, such as drums, guitar, or keyboard.
Ability to demonstrate competency and proficiency in the area being taught.

Responsibilities

Partner with the store Lessons Lead to schedule and retain student enrollment based on community needs.
Teach students using the Guitar Center Lessons curriculum.
Assist with customer service as needed and help build and maintain long-term student relationships by creating a great experience.
Partner with students and families through frequent communication, building trusting relationships and recognizing parents’ knowledge of their child as a music teacher.
Communicate students’ progress to students and/or their parents.
Frequently share students’ and/or parents’ goals and progress.
Perform additional duties as assigned.
