About The Position

Music & Arts is seeking a Music Teacher to teach and inspire students through private music lessons. The teacher will create an engaging, supportive, and safe learning environment for students of varying ages and skill levels, while helping them develop their musical abilities and fostering a lasting relationship with music. The role includes building positive relationships with students and parents through regular communication, goal-setting, and progress updates, and partnering with store teams to schedule lessons and encourage student retention. Music & Arts handles administrative work so instructors can focus on teaching. The posting requires a bachelor’s degree in Music Education, Music Performance, or equivalent experience, along with two years of music teaching experience. Advanced music degrees, professional teaching memberships or certifications, and extensive experience—especially teaching multiple instruments—are preferred.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Music Education, Music Performance, or equivalent experience.
• Two years of music teaching experience.

Nice To Haves

• Master’s or doctoral degree in Music.
• Professional teaching memberships or certifications.
• Eight or more years of teaching experience, especially with multiple instruments, including banjo, baritone, bass clarinet, bass guitar, bassoon, cello, clarinet, flute, French horn, guitar, mandolin, oboe, percussion, piano, piccolo, saxophone, string bass, trombone, trumpet, tuba, ukulele, viola, violin, and voice.
