About The Position

Music & Arts is seeking a skilled musician and dedicated educator to teach private music lessons. The Music Teacher creates an engaging, supportive, and safe learning environment for students of varying ages and skill levels. The role includes building positive relationships with students and parents through communication, goal-setting, and progress updates; coordinating with store teams on lesson schedules and student retention; and using musical expertise to inspire student development. Music & Arts handles administrative work so instructors can focus on teaching. The minimum qualification is a bachelor’s degree in Music Education, Music Performance, or equivalent experience, along with two years of music teaching experience, especially with brass instruments. Advanced music degrees, teaching memberships or certifications, and extensive experience teaching multiple instruments are preferred.

Requirements

• Two years of music teaching experience, especially with brass instruments.

Nice To Haves

• Further teaching experience with related instruments.
• Master’s or doctoral degree in Music.
• Professional teaching memberships or certifications.
• Eight or more years of teaching experience, especially with multiple instruments: banjo, baritone, bass clarinet, bass guitar, bassoon, cello, clarinet, flute, French horn, guitar, mandolin, oboe, percussion, piano, piccolo, saxophone, string bass, trombone, trumpet, tuba, ukulele, viola, violin, and voice.
