About The Position

As a Music Teacher, you will teach music lessons to students according to the Guitar Center Lessons curriculum. You will work to increase student count and help each student continue to grow, develop, and enjoy playing music while nurturing a culture of integrity, inclusion, musical passion, and respect. The role calls for a Customer First mindset and a commitment to providing an excellent Customer experience. You will partner with the store Lessons Lead to schedule and retain students based on community needs, teach your proficient instrument, and assist with Customer service as needed. You will also communicate frequently with students and families about student progress and goals, building trusting relationships and recognizing parents’ knowledge of their child. Additional duties may be assigned.

Requirements

Previous experience in Music, Education, or a related field.
Ability to teach an instrument in which the candidate is proficient, such as drums, guitar, or keyboard.
Ability to demonstrate competency and proficiency in the area being taught.

Responsibilities

Partner with the store Lessons Lead to schedule and retain student headcount based on community needs.
Teach students using the Guitar Center Lessons curriculum.
Assist with Customer service as needed to build and maintain long-term students by creating a great experience.
Communicate frequently with students and families to build trusting relationships.
Communicate each student's progress to the student and/or their parent or guardian.
Frequently share students' and/or parents' goals and progress.
Perform additional duties as assigned.
