About The Position
Music & Arts is seeking a skilled musician and dedicated educator to teach private music lessons to students of varying ages and skill levels. The Music Teacher creates an engaging, supportive, and safe learning environment; builds positive relationships with students and parents through communication, goal-setting, and progress updates; and works with store teams on lesson scheduling and student retention. The role focuses on inspiring students and supporting their musical growth, while Music & Arts handles administrative work. The minimum qualifications are a bachelor’s degree in Music Education, Music Performance, or equivalent experience, and two years of music teaching experience. Advanced music degrees, professional teaching memberships or certifications, and extensive experience teaching multiple instruments are preferred. Compensation is listed as $12.77 per hour for non-teaching duties plus a total teaching rate of $10–$20, depending on background and experience. Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Music Education, Music Performance, or equivalent experience.
- Two years of music teaching experience.

- Advanced degree (Master’s or Doctoral) in Music.
- Professional teaching memberships or certifications.
- Eight or more years of teaching experience, especially with multiple instruments: banjo, baritone, bass clarinet, bass guitar, bassoon, cello, clarinet, flute, French horn, guitar, mandolin, oboe, percussion, piano, piccolo, saxophone, string bass, trombone, trumpet, tuba, ukulele, viola, violin, and voice.
