About The Position

As a Music Teacher, you will teach music lessons to students using the Guitar Center Lessons curriculum. You will help increase and retain student enrollment while supporting each student’s growth, development, and enjoyment of playing music. The role also includes nurturing a culture of integrity, inclusion, musical passion, and respect, and providing an excellent customer experience. You will partner with the store Lessons Lead to schedule and retain students based on community needs. You will communicate frequently with students and families, build trusting relationships, share progress and goals, and recognize the knowledge parents have as their child’s music teacher. You may also assist with customer service as needed. Pay is listed as $16.00–$17.00 per hour at the non-teaching rate and up to $26.80 per hour at the total teaching rate, depending on background and experience. Requirements

Previous experience in music, education, or teaching music lessons.
Ability to teach an instrument in which the applicant is proficient, such as guitar or vocals.
Ability to demonstrate competency and proficiency in the subject area being taught.
